Can I add students to a class once it's already created?

Yes! You can add a student to a class when you edit the class!

  1. New students are enrolled at your school throughout the year
  2. Follow the steps below to add them to your class roster in Classworks

Access the Edit Class screen

Navigate to the Edit Class Menu from the Progress Monitoring, Individualized Learning, or Classes screen

  • Select the class roster to edit
  • Click Edit

Select the class name to open the roster

Click "Edit Class" to open the roster


Add New Students to the Roster

Select Add Student


Search for the student to enroll in the class

  • Use the dropdown menu or
  • Enter part of the student's name

Click Search

  • Select the student(s) to enroll in your class by checking the box in front of their name
  • Click Add

  • Review your updated class roster
  • Click Save at the bottom of the screen

Note: When adding a student to an existing class, all existing assignments and assessments are automatically skipped for the student. You will need to change the status of the appropriate assignments/assessments from skipped to assigned. Click here for steps on how to do that.
