Skills Summary Report
The Classworks Skill Summary Report provides a quick, high-level view of how students are performing within their Individualized Learning Paths (ILPs). The report summarizes completed individualized learning instruction and allows educators to see overall performance by subject.
This report also highlights how student performance differs when working on below-grade–level, on-grade–level, and above-grade–level units. By comparing time on task and the number of units completed at each level, educators can better understand the rigor of the work students are engaging in and how their instructional level aligns with grade-level expectations. This information may also be used to support assigning a Classworks grade by subject, when appropriate.
This report reflects data for only completed/finished units.

What to Look For
Individual Students: Class Roster-Style Report
Each student is listed in a roster along the far left
Look across the top of the report. Notice that there are four sections:
- Below: Work the student has completed on ILP units that are below the student's enrolled grade level
- On Grade Level: Work the student has completed on ILP units at their enrolled grade level
- Above: Work the student has completed on ILP units that are above the student's enrolled grade level
- Summary: Overall data, averages, and totals of below, on, and above-grade-level work.
Three Data points are shown for each of these sections:
- Percentage %: The student's average
- Time on Task TOT: How much time the student worked
- Total Units: The count of units completed on the ILP

Connecting This Report to Monthly Scores
Review the Summary section to get an at-a-glance view of how students are performing.
- This section provides a snapshot similar to viewing the Monthly Scores screen for all students in the class at the same time, making it easy to quickly identify overall performance patterns.
The % column shows the same information as the Star section on the Monthly Scores screen.
- In this sample report, only 1 student has an average lower than 80% (Grace Hopper).
- The remaining students earned at least 80%
The TOT column shows the same information as the Bar Graph section on the Monthly Scores screen.
The Total Units column shows the same information you'd see when you click on either the Stars or Bar Graph section of the Monthly Scores screen

Performance by Instructional Level
By breaking out performance by instructional level, the Skills Report helps educators see how students respond to increasingly rigorous content.
Look at the Below section. ILP units are assigned based on each student's Present Level of Performance (PLOP), or instructional/readiness level.
In the sample report below, each student has completed work that is below their enrolled grade level.

Look at the On Grade Level section.
Nearly all of the students in the sample report have completed units at their enrolled grade level.
By separating performance, teachers can quickly see how increasing the rigor of the work impacts student achievement.
Look at Rachel Carson - her on-grade-level average is 77%, now look at her below average - it is 83%. There is a difference in her performance.
Look at Sally Johnson - her on-grade-level average is 20%, while her below average is 89%. There is a definite difference.
This report provides additional information about the rigor of the units completed by each student.

Selected Students: Grade Level Averages
Each grade level is listed in a roster along the far left
In the same below, notice:
Students from 2nd to 5th grade are included in this report. The number of students at each grade level varies, but is generally around 200 (except for 2nd grade - 1 student's data)

Look across the top of the report. Notice that there are four sections:
- Below: Work students completed on ILP units that are below the students' enrolled grade level
- On Grade Level: Work students completed on ILP units at their enrolled grade level
- Above: Work students completed on ILP units that are above the students' enrolled grade level
- Summary: Overall data, averages, and totals of below, on, and above-grade-level work.
Three Data points are shown for each of these sections:
- Percentage %: The students' average
- Time on Task TOT: How much time students worked on their ILPs
- Total Units: The count of units completed on their ILPs

Performance by Instructional Level
By breaking out performance by instructional level, the Skills Report helps educators see how students respond to increasingly rigorous content.
Look at the Below section. ILP units are assigned based on each student's Present Level of Performance (PLOP), or instructional/readiness level.
- In the sample report below, students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade completed work that is below their enrolled grade level.
Look at the On Grade Level section.
- Students in all grade levels have completed units at their enrolled grade level.
By separating performance, administrators and instructional leaders can quickly see how increasing the rigor of the work impacts student achievement.
Look at Third Grade: On below grade level content students earned an 89% average, but with on-grade-level content, they only earned a 58% average.
Look at Fourth and Fifth Grade: The averages earned by these students with below and on-grade-level content remain stable at or near 80%.
School Leaders can use this report to reallocate instructional resources to the 3rd Grade (especially if this report captures the time period leading up to high-stakes testing).

Connecting this Report to Individualized Learning Insight
The Individualized Learning Insight Dashboard provides the same information as the Summary column.
Using this report alongside the Insight Dashboard provides additional insights, specifically:
- The rigor of the work completed by students at each grade level
- Quantifies how an increase in rigor affects achievement
