How do I use the filters available on the Insights Dashboards?

Each Insight Dashboard includes different tabs and a selection of filters. These are found at the top of each dashboard.

Note: Filters are cumulative. Selecting multiple filters will display only the data that meets all selected criteria.

Demographic Data: If this data hasn't been shared with Classworks, all data will be shown as "False"


Insights Data Dashboards are available to building and district-level administrators

Individualized Learning

Filters

  1. Content Area - choose to view data for reading or mathematics
  2. Relevant Date - choose a timespan (monthly or academic quarterly is frequently used)
  3. Schools - choose specific schools to view (available for staff with administrative access to more than one school)
  4. Student Grade - choose specific grade levels to review
  5. Demographic/Subgroups: set these filters to measure progress across subgroup populations.
    1. Gender
    2. Race
    3. Economically disadvantaged
    4. English Language Learner
    5. Hispanic/Latino
    6. Special Education
    7. Migrant

Assessment and Growth

There are two different dashboards available on this insight. Placement and Domain Proficiency

  1. Placement - see how students performed on the Universal Screener, organized by percentile rank and tiers of support (MTSS)
  2. Domain Proficiency - see how students performed on specific domains (measured against the time of year Universal Screener Scaled Score Targets)

Filters

Subject Area - choose to view data for reading or mathematics

Schools - choose specific schools to view (available for staff with administrative access to more than one school)

Student Grade - choose specific grade levels to review

Demographic Subgroup data is:

  • Displayed in separate bar graphs below the overall placement graph.
  • Data is shown as "True" or "False."
    • True shows results for students who are included in that subgroup
    • False shows results for students who are not included in that subgroup

Progress Monitoring

Filters

  1. Schools - choose specific schools to view (available for staff with administrative access to more than one school)
  2. Demographic/Subgroups - set these filters to measure the progress of subgroup populations
    1. Gender
    2. Race
    3. Economically disadvantaged
    4. English Language Learner
    5. Hispanic/Latino
    6. Special Education
    7. Migrant
  3. Subject - choose to view data for reading or mathematics
  4. Suggested Tier - choose percentile rank ranges to view
  5. Rate of Improvement - choose performance trends to view
  6. Status - choose to view all active and completed sessions or only active sessions

User Engagement

There are two different dashboards available on this insight. Students and Staff

  1. Students - see login information about distinct student users
  2. School Staff - see login information about distinct staff users
