How can I use the Science content?

Classworks' science content can be used to supplement science instruction.

Assign a specific assignment to a class as a pre-test prior to delivering instruction related to the concepts covered in the material.
Use the results from the assignment to make instructional decisions.
Incorporate graphic or video elements of the lesson into teacher-led instruction.

While this content is titled "Elementary Science," the topics addressed are appropriate for both elementary and early middle school science classes.

Content Organization

The lessons are organized into three schools of science

Earth science
Life science
Physical science

The complexity of the content is organized into three levels of difficulty: 3, 4, and 5. The different levels indicate the complexity of the text and concepts covered.

Unit Structure

Classworks Science units are in the same general format as the reading/language arts and math.
