How do I use the Individualized Learning filters to monitor student ILPs?

Use the filters along the left side of the Individualized Learning screen to narrow down the list of students for intentional monitoring.

Teacher User Example

Look closely at the Individualized Learning screen for a sample class below.

Notice the "Overall % Average" option at the bottom of the left side. This dropdown assists teaching staff and can help them identify students who are:

  • Struggling: These students would benefit from a short conversation focused on their "Monthly Scores" dashboard.
  • Performing: These students would benefit from recognition; they may have earned certificates of achievement.

In this sample class, the teacher would identify 4 students whose cumulative average is equal to or greater than 80%. There are 2 students whose overall average is less than 70%; they would benefit from a coaching conversation.

Building or District Administrative User Example

District-level administrators can create custom groups to monitor the progress of students in targeted groups. Many districts choose to create a custom group for each of the "Sub Groups" reported on their state report card or through state high-stakes testing.

Building-level administrators can monitor the progress of students enrolled at their school who have been added to the district-wide custom group. They can also create classes to monitor the progress of students within each subgroup at their school.

Look closely at the sample Custom Group below

The "Overall % Average" dropdown can be used to filter and identify students who would benefit from additional support and whose performance has earned recognition.

Administrators can view a teacher's specific class and then select a custom group. By layering two filters on top of each other, leaders can identify where additional support would be beneficial.
