How can I access Classworks data from a previous year?
If you have district administrator access in Classworks, you can access archived summary data from previous school years.
Each year, Classworks resets the Classworks Manager and clears student usage data from the active system. However, the data is not lost. It remains available as a .zip file that contains several .csv files, which you can open using spreadsheet software such as Excel.
- Archived Classworks data is saved as .csv files within a downloadable .zip folder. Because the data is exported in this format, the tables, charts, and visual formatting included in Classworks reports are not preserved.
- For this reason, Classworks recommends saving or exporting any formatted reports before the end of the school year. You can read more about that here.
- This archived data can still be helpful for reviewing instructional usage by grade level or subject from one year to the next, or for tracking student growth on Classworks assessments across school years.
Accessing your Archived Data
After logging in, click your name in the top right then click Manage Classworks.

From the sub-tabs, select Data Archive.

The school years for which you have archived data available appear on the screen.
Select the school year and click Download to locally save that year's archive.
