My Screeners - Student View
Math and Reading Universal Screeners
Students complete the Universal Screeners three times during the school year. The screener is available in English or Spanish.
Only the English language Universal Screener generates a Learning Path.
Students should only complete a Universal Screener when requested by their teacher. To access the Universal Screener, students click My Screener
Full Year View
After selecting the language for the test, students see a full-year view including their current and previous scores
- Students’ scores are organized by assessment window
- The Overall score is shown for each assessment window
- Student’s actual scores are shown with a dark blue bar graph
The student’s performance is shown with a bar graph. The possible scaled scores form the basis of this graph.
Just as students should work to improve their performance with each assessment, Scaled Scores are expected to increase over the year.
How to read the graph
The bar graph compares student performance with grade-level readiness.
- Using the yellow and green highlights students can see how their performance compares to their typical peers
- Approaching Level or the yellow highlight corresponds with the score range for one grade level below the student’s current assigned grade
- At Level or the green highlight corresponds with the on-grade level score range for the student’s current assigned grade
Domain-Specific Results and Time on Task
After clicking “View Results” students see a bar graph with their overall scaled score and domain-specific scaled scores.
Domain Specific Scaled Scores
- Displayed as bar graphs
- Approaching Level and At Level highlights
- Students see the time they spent completing the screener
- If “Rushed” appears, Classworks recommends that the student be guided to “retake” the screener and spend adequate time to complete it thoughtfully.
Multiple Attempts
5 Attempts are available for each test during each assessment window
The number shown here is how many attempts the student has made
- Students should only retake a screener at their teacher’s direction
- When a student clicks “Start Test” they see this reminder screen
