How do I use the filters available on the Insights Dashboards?

Each Insight Dashboard includes different tabs and a selection of filters. These are found at the top of each dashboard.


Individualized Learning Insights

Control Filters

  1. Content Area - choose to view data for reading or mathematics
  2. Complete Date - choose a timespan (monthly or academic quarterly is frequently used)
  3. Schools - choose specific schools to view (available for staff with administrative access to more than one school)
  4. Student Grade - choose specific grade levels to review
  5. Demographic/Subgroups - set these filters to narrow down the data returned. Frequently used to measure progress of tested subgroup populations
    1. Gender
    2. Race
    3. Economically disadvantaged
    4. English Language Learner
    5. Hispanic/Latino
    6. Special Education
    7. Migrant

Tabs

  1. Skill Units - see performance trends on units students complete at their instructional or performance levels.
  2. Progress Monitoring Insights

Demographic Subgroup data is:
  1. Displayed in separate bar graphs below the overall placement graph.
  2. Data is shown as "True" or "False"
  1. True shows results for students who are included in that subgroup
  2. False shows results for students who are not included in that sugbroup

Tabs

  1. Placement - see how students performed on the Universal Screener organized by percentile rank and tiers of support (MTSS)
  2. Domain Proficiency - see how students performed on specific domains (measured against the time of year Universal Screener Scaled Score Targets)
