The Classworks student learning environment currently has Adobe Flash and HTML5 based content, which is supported by most major internet browsers, including Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari.

Some internet browsers have begun to disable Adobe Flash Player by default. You may be required to accept a dialog box to enable Flash Player the first time a student tries to open Classworks content. After you enable Flash Player, you should be able to use Classworks without further interruptions. For instructions on how to enable Flash Player on your internet browser, see the sections below for your browser.

We have not been made aware of any near-term plans for a major internet browser to cease support of Flash Player, but it is a top priority for us to switch Classworks to HTML5. Please keep an eye on our help center and classworks.com for any further announcements on our support of Flash and HTML5.

Message in Classworks

Your student may receive the following error if Flash Player has not been installed, updated, or enabled in your internet browser.

Use the directions below for your browser to set up Adobe Flash Player and Classworks.

Google Chrome

Google Chrome includes Adobe Flash Player built-in, but it may be disabled. You can enable Flash Player through your Content Settings on Chrome.

  1. In the URL bar (website address bar), type chrome://settings/content/flash to open the Flash Settings page or click the settings button in the top right corner.
  2. Click ADD in the "Allow" section.
  3. Under "Add a site" type the following exactly as it appears: [*.]classworks.com

If this does not allow Flash to run, we recommend turning off "Ask first." If you continue to have difficulty running Flash on Google Chrome after following these steps, more help can be found at Google's Flash Player Support Page
